HEALTH CARE EXCHANGE SEARCH & ACA REPORTING

Health Care Exchange Search

SBA’s experience in the areas of H&W exchanges and benefits administration makes us an ideal partner to assist with search services for Pre-65 retiree, Post-65 retiree, or active private  exchanges.  SBA monitored the exchange laws and associated emerging market since 2010. Once the market showed signs of stability, we performed comprehensive research on the industry’s leading providers of private exchanges. Our goal was to fully understand the advantages and disadvantages of their offerings. As part of our research, we spent significant amounts of time with the vendors understanding underlying systems, participant web tools, decision support tools, billing capabilities, and all the functions required to support the exchange model. We continue to monitor new entrants into the market as well as the strategic shifts the established providers are making.

ACA Reporting

Under the Affordable Care Act’s employer shared responsibility provisions, certain employers have information reporting responsibilities to support their tracking of the health care coverage they are offering their employees and which employees (and dependents) are actually covered under those offerings.  SBA provides expert data analysis and clean-up in addition to providing the required Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) reporting.

We provide comprehensive analysis of data, reporting services, and support including:

  • Consolidation of data from multiple data sources (e.g., HR/payroll, eligibility and administration system, COBRA, etc.)
  • Periodic accumulation of required data with associated edits
  • Determination of codes for both the applicable offer of coverage and safe harbor codes
  • Dedicated 800 number for participant questions and reprints
  • Creation and fulfillment of participant Forms 1095-C and 1095-B
  • Creation of IRS transmittal Forms 1094-C and 1094-B
  • Electronic transmission of files to the IRS
  • Processing of all data corrections and post-filing updates
  • Support for questions from the IRS

We Specialize in:

  • Combining data due to mid-year change in eligibility providers
  • Identification and resolution of data issues throughout the year
  • Accommodation of complex organizations with multiple EINs and 1094 transmittals
  • Ensuring data integrity prior to filing
